CONington Community keeps the tables open all year. It’s the year-round extension of CONington — games at different spots around the region, so you don’t have to wait for con weekend to play. Some events have limited seats and need an RSVP — details below.

Fate of Bones

A Ragnaborg one-shot by Broken Brain Games — perfect for new tables. Stories Without a Script: Writing TTRPG Adventures

Writing a TTRPG adventure is very different from writing a short story or novel. Join Steve Smith of CONington as he explores the components of adventures that encourage engagement, player choice, and collaboration while avoiding common pitfalls that can drain the fun from a game. Theme: Nordic mystery, horror, and dark folklore · System: Year Zero Engine, Vaesen (19th century Sweden) · Cost: Always free. Join us for our October CONington in the Community event at another amazing local business. Dice on Draft is hosting CONington for a night of Nordic horror in Free League's 19th century Swedish horror setting... Vaesen. Face dark folklore, solve a coastal mystery, and save a troubled village. The investigators receive a desperate letter from Father Oscar Uddgren, whose mentor Vicar Hedquist is dead. Oscar suspects foul play and points his finger at the island's godless ruling family, known for their ruthless business tactics. Investigators will travel to the dark and distant archipelago to uncover the truth behind Vicar Hedquist's death.

The Hollow Season

Early colonial Virginia. Beyond the settled coast, a small mountain community has been cut off for months. The crops have failed, the game has disappeared, and hunger has settled over the valley like a curse. Something is moving through the wilderness — something gaunt, ancient, and impossible to kill by ordinary means. Iron and gunshot can wound it, but the settlement exhausted its ammunition long ago. Survival may depend on an alliance with the Native people who know the mountains, understand the threat, and have every reason to distrust the colonists asking for their help. An American Gothic one-shot about famine, desperation, and the cost of deciding who counts as human when there is not enough to go around.
